How this works: For each score you enter, we look up the actual Step 3 score distribution of people who reported a similar practice score in our community dataset (1,322 reports, 2021–2026). The prediction is a weighted median across all your inputs; the range shows the middle 50% (p25–p75) of real outcomes. OLS regression is used as a fallback for score ranges with sparse data. How does the StudyCCS predictor compare to UWorld and AMBOSS?

UWorld and AMBOSS both show you your Qbank percentage and provide rough score estimates, but neither is built around actual Step 3 score reports. The StudyCCS predictor is trained exclusively on self-reported Step 3 outcomes — not on internal scoring curves from a single Qbank — which makes it more generalizable when you are cross-referencing multiple practice sources. Frequently asked questions

How accurate is the predictor?
The predictor uses empirical bin data from 1,322 real Step 3 score reports. When you enter UWSA 2, the model finds everyone in our dataset who scored similarly and shows you their actual Step 3 distribution. Accuracy improves significantly when you enter multiple scores — with 3+ inputs from different sources, the prediction is typically within ±8 points of your final score at the median.
Is it free?
Yes, completely free. No account required, no email sign-up. Just enter your scores and get your prediction.
Does it work with UWorld scores?
Yes. Enter your UWorld average score (as a percentage) and/or your UWorld completion percentage. Note that UWorld completion % has very low correlation with Step 3 scores (r² = 0.001) — your UWorld average score is far more predictive.
Can I use NBME Free 137 results?
Yes — Free 137 is one of the supported inputs. Enter your percentage correct from Free 137 and the predictor will look up how people with similar Free 137 scores performed on the actual Step 3 exam. Free 137 has an r² of 0.39 with Step 3, making it a moderately strong predictor.
